The social committee is interested in facilitating the social interactions between graduate students of the eight McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science departments. By doing this, we hope to foster networking opportunities and research collaborations as well as to further MGLC's goal of unifying graduate students within the McCormick School.
Currently, our goals are to organize and host a kickoff event for MGLC for all McCormick graduate students and to help coordinate interdepartmental social events. We are also working with McCormick administrators to develop a graduate student lounge in the Tech building and to advocate for an increase in the size of Tech Express.
